Located in Greenwich Village, Cecchi’s was conceived by Michael Cecchi-Azzolina to be America’s equivalent of a classic French Bistro – The Bar and Grill. These were the “joints” that dotted the Brooklyn neighborhood where he grew up. The signs out front heralded the menu items to be found inside, “Steaks, Chops and Seafood”. For drinks, martinis and scotch on the rocks were kings. The crowd was distinctly local, and you were always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Michael has honed his vision, taking the best from a career spent in some of New York City’s most iconic establishments, creating a truly modern Bar and Grill.

The food aims for simplicity, keeping the ingredients to their truest form while reimagining classic dishes for a modern palate.
