Next to Union Hall, no one books a more solid schedule of local bands than relative newcomer Rock Shop and certainly no one has a better space for small shows with proper stage elevation (trust us). And while the policy of plastic cups for your drinks borders on obnoxious (glass has a hard enough time combating the cold-drain of a warm venue—plastic doesn't stand a chance), the space, along with the much-appreciated outdoor area and upstairs pool room, more than makes up for that intentional oversight.
