One of Brooklyn's most scenic parks, the former Esplanade runs along and above the Bronx-Queens Expressway for over a mileand looks out over the piers of Red Hook and Brooklyn Bridge Park, right out to the towering Financial District and Brooklyn Bridge itself, and the East River and harbor—including Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It's had a co-starring roll in scenes from Moonstruck and Woody Allen's Annie Hall, and for good reason: in a city filled with picturesque spots, there's probably none as romantic as the Promenade.
